Why I Haven’t Worked With Funke Akindele – Queen Nwokoye

Nollywood actress Queen Nwokoye has explained why she has not worked with Funke Akindele until now.
Reports that she spoke in an interview with Seun Oloketuyi on Sunday.

She said that although Funke has invited her to movies in the past, the timing is always wrong.

She revealed that although Toyin Abraham had reached out to her since 2016, they were only able to work together this year.

She said: “My family comes first when it comes to my career; Toyin has been calling me since 2016, I just got to work with her this year. Funke has never done a movie without calling me, but the timing is always off.”

Queen, who debuted in Nollywood in 2004, said she lost both parents in 2019 and has since focused on balancing work with her personal life.

She said, “I started 2019 with my Mum and My Dad and within six months, I became an orphan. I still don’t know how I managed to pull through two burial ceremonies within six months. Today, I have made a decision to be happy and put everything behind me. God is in control.”

She has been married to businessman Oluchi Uzoma since 2011, and they have three children together.

The actress is now set to appear in Toyin Abraham’s directorial debut, Oversabi Aunty.
