The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in collaboration with the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee, has announced that football fans travelling to Morocco for the upcoming tournament will now enjoy free electronic visas.

In a statement released on its official website on Friday, November 14, 2025, CAF confirmed that the no-fee visa policy applies to supporters from all countries that typically require a visa to enter Morocco.

According to the announcement:

“Electronic visas to enter Morocco, obtained through the YALLA app, are now free of charge for supporters attending the competition, which runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.”

CAF said the decision comes amid a major spike in global excitement surrounding Africa’s biggest football event, with thousands of fans already securing match tickets and arranging travel.

Fan ID + E-Visa Now Mandatory for Stadium Access

CAF emphasized that all international visitors must obtain two key documents:

A Fan ID

An electronic visa (e-visa) — for countries that require one

Both documents are required for entry into Morocco and to access AFCON match venues.

Supporters can now apply for both documents directly through the YALLA app, which CAF described as a streamlined, secure and fan-friendly system.

“A Fan ID is mandatory for entry to all stadiums and official Fan Areas. Supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one place inside the YALLA app,” CAF stated.

How to Apply

Fans can obtain their Fan ID and free e-visa through the following steps:

Complete the Fan ID application form

Submit an e-visa request, where applicable

After approval, proceed to the CAF ticketing platform to purchase match tickets

CAF noted that all processes are integrated within the YALLA app to create a seamless travel and stadium-entry experience.

Morocco Set to Host AFCON for the First Time in Nearly 40 Years

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will take place in nine stadiums across six major cities, marking Morocco’s first time hosting the tournament since 1988.

This edition will feature:

24 participating teams

World-class stadiums

Modern fan zones

A new generation of African football stars

CAF said the free e-visa initiative highlights Morocco’s readiness to welcome a massive influx of supporters and ensure hassle-free access to the continent’s premier football competition.
