Popular Nigerian socialite and businessman, Cubana Chief Priest, has disclosed that he will be unable to attend the much-anticipated white wedding of his close friend and Afrobeats superstar Davido, after being denied a United States visa.
Sharing his feelings on Instagram, Cubana Chief Priest expressed his deep disappointment and heartbreak over missing such a significant milestone in his best friend’s life.
“Woke up with mixed feelings knowing I won’t be at my best friend’s wedding. You can clearly see how disappointed and hurt I am,” he wrote.
In a heartfelt plea, he called on both the Nigerian government and the United States Embassy in Nigeria (@usinnigeria) to intervene and assist him in obtaining a visa.
“I appreciate the bashing because it has given me more reasons and proof to apply again. @usinnigeria, do it for me this time,” he appealed.
Despite his absence, Cubana Chief Priest extended his warmest wishes to the couple, posting:
“Wishing my best friend @davido and his beautiful wife @thechefchi an amazing wedlock.”
Davido and Chioma recently celebrated with a lavish Havana-themed pre-wedding party in Miami, Florida, surrounded by family and friends. The couple stunned guests—Chioma in a stunning white dress and Davido impeccably dressed for the occasion.
According to reports, the preparations for the star-studded wedding have cost an estimated $3.7 million, underscoring the grandeur expected for the event.
