You Have Failed Woefully, Tender Your Resignation Now’ – Falz Tells Tinubu
Nigerian rapper and political activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has called on President Bola Tinubu to resign immediately from office.
The demand comes in the wake of the latest abduction of staff and students at a Catholic school in Niger State.
Reports confirm that Saint Mary’s School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area, was attacked during a night raid by bandits on Friday. The assailants reportedly struck between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m., abducting an undisclosed number of students and staff.
Ahmed Abdullahi Rofia, the Head of Department for Disaster and Relief in Agwara LGA, confirmed the incident during a phone interview but did not provide further details.
In a statement, the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Usman, revealed that the school had reopened despite a government directive to close all boarding schools in the area. The closure order was issued following credible intelligence indicating an elevated risk of attacks by armed groups operating near the border communities.
The state government said security agencies have been mobilized to determine the number of abducted persons and coordinate a rescue operation.
Reacting to the tragic event, Falz took to 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) and wrote:
“You have failed woefully @officialABAT. Tender your resignation now! Over a hundred abducted again in Niger just this morning. Do you know how insaNe that is?”
