The performance, held at the State Farm Arena as part of his 5ALive Tour, also doubled as a celebration of his 33rd birthday. Despite the festive atmosphere, Davido shifted the tone to address the pain many Nigerians currently feel.

In honour of victims of the church attack in Eruku, Kwara State, and the kidnapping of schoolchildren in Kebbi, the singer asked the crowd to join him in silence.
Addressing the audience, Davido said:

He also urged anyone with credible information to assist security agencies in securing the safe return of the kidnapped students. Davido prayed for God’s protection over the girls and placed curses on those responsible for sponsoring insecurity in Nigeria.
