Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, and Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru have welcomed their first child together — a baby boy.
Speculation about the birth intensified early Friday after Osawaru was reportedly spotted at a hospital, sparking rumours that she had gone into labour.
A few hours later, the lawmaker put the rumours to rest with a brief announcement on her official Facebook page, confirming that she and 2Baba had been “blessed with a baby boy.”
The announcement immediately drew a wave of congratulatory messages from fans, supporters, and well-wishers.
The arrival of their son marks a new chapter in the couple’s widely followed relationship. 2Baba and Osawaru formalised their union earlier this year following the singer’s separation from Annie Idibia in January.
Their relationship has been under public watch from the beginning — from the Valentine’s Eve proposal to family visits and traditional rites over the following months.
In July, they held a private traditional wedding ceremony in Abuja, attended only by close family members. Though low-key, the event signaled the start of their life together and has continued to draw public attention.
It is understood that 2Baba has children from his previous relationship with Annie Idibia.
